well it is near the end of a very befuffled work day...yes I know that isn't a word but that is how I feel....It has been tough and perhaps tomorrow I may have to redo a coulple of these arrangements but I got through this now home to my girls and housework...evenings are my worst triggers for smoking...I smoke more at home, more time. Guess I will actually try and put my treadmill to use... Thanks for all the support...I CAN DO THIS!!! Hey need2, u are reminding me of me!! There is a saying here. "When you quit you think about smoking and when you smoke you think about quitting." U are very lucky to have a job that keeps u busy. Just think how many more arrangements u can get done without that smoke break. I know u still need a break but take one doing something good for yourself. 10 deep breathes slowly relaxing in and out. Raise your arms above your head and stretch 10 times. There is something about doing that, that makes u feel good. When u can't think and things seem a little crazy Hum. Yes Hum u can't think and hum at the same time. All these things work. U just have to apply them. Good Luck and I look forward to discussing your progress. U seem like a winner to me. That's right, nh2q! Concentrate on one thing at a time, think about that one little task & nothing else, then the next one & so one. Fuzzy brain is common, it will probably last a few days. I once went down to the laundry room and when I got there, I couldn't remember why. Then I remembered oh yeah, it's the laundry room, I must be doing laundry. Then I realized I hadn't brought the laundry with me. So I laughed at myself, went back upstairs & immediately forgot what I was supposed to be doing. It took about 3 days to get that laundry done! Be patient with yourself, be good to yourself. Imagine how proud you're going to be at the end of the day! need2 Kaitlina had some great advice. break it down into manageable parts. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water to help wash out the toxins. Breathe deeply, blow it out. And Pamper yourself!!!! As soon as you can, get home to a nice hot bath or shower and bed. need2, I too walk around in circles with my mind lost in never never land. What I had to do was to pick something, a single item (such as a drawer or the dishes or one load of laundry), or in your case one floral arrangement and focus just on that task until it was complete, otherwise I found myself starting 15 different things and not finishing anything. I found that if I tried to focus on more than one thing, I didn't accomplish anything. Hang in there!!!!! Being smoke free is worth hell week. Awsome Need2quit! You are going to look back on this day and be so thankful that you have quit. You will be feeling so much better both, mentally and physically, in a very short time. Be sure to do something special for youself that does not involve smoking. You've earned it!! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 73 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,190 Amount Saved: $350.40 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 8 Mins: 32 Seconds: 41
