ttin,
I don't envy you. Being in Hell week, all those thoughts running through your head, second guessing everything and everyone around you, all the inside turmoil. I remember those feelings like it was yesterday.
You are in hell week and what you are going through is all part of the process. You are an addict going through withdrawal. The only way to get through it is to go through it. Quitting is tough at many different stages but you can do it. You have to want it more than anything in the world. You have to be willing to do whatever it takes to not smoke. Whatever means whatever! You kick, scream, cry, fight, break dishes, punch a pillow, tare paper into shreads, "whatever", you just don't smoke.
I consider this traveling the road less traveled. So many decide it just isn't worth it and they give up and go back to where they came from. The strong dig deep inside and push through all the obsticals in their way continuing to travel down the road. Lean on your SSC friends here for support. They will help you over those branches in the road, guide you through the obsticals. Those in front of you will watch out for you, those with you will hold your hand and those behind you will push you forward. Use all the resources here.
Get your ice water, gum, mints, candy, straw, and other coping mechinisms. When all else fails, take a bubble bath and go to bed. Tomorrow is always a new day. Think before you speak and apologize often. You are an addict going through withdrawal.
What you are going through and feeling right now is only temporary. Keep marching forward.
