Good post, duffis! Good timing for me. I have recently realized that smoking several times a day was how I dealt with the fact that I hate my job and I am not at all suited to it.
I only have a few "Don't thank me sir, it's all part of customer service and I'm happy to do it for you. By the way, if you feel your ass was kissed above and beyond your expectations today, please don't hesitate to say so when you're surveyed." left in me.
The day is not far off when I abandon the passive aggressive defense that smoking allowed me to develop and go down in a blaze of glory.
I will be working on my resume this weekend!
