Thank you everyone for the support. I have been on the treatment now for 2 and half days, and the weezing is better. I my throat doesn't feel tight anymore. At first I was really oppositional about this machine, but now I look at it like this - I have done alot of damage ot my lungs, and now I have to go through all of this to get them better. Once I'm done with all this I will be better for it! Thanks again! Thats great news Bea! Your lungs are obviously healing (kicking out all the toxins.) You're through the worst and headed for the best. It only gets better noe, just keep taking it one day at a time. Smoking is not an option! Just letting you all know I'm alive and still smokefree!!!! I have been extremely busy, but I have making it through my days. The biggest urge is on the ride home from work, I simply make a phone call and this helps me through. I'm still doing alot of coughing, still have that smokey smell and taste sometimes, but I'm going strong! I went to the doctor, and she was estatic that I quit smoking. I have to have a nebulizer though for seven days, because I'm still wheezing. Apparnently, my asthma was triggered by an infection. And I'm still a bit flaired. She told me I needed to get a nebulizer and keep it so when I flare up again I can use it instead of my traditional inhaler. My goal, is exercise my lungs. Teach them to breath again and build my immune system. I really don't want breathing aids for the rest of my life. I may see what alternative therapies there are. I'm very happy right now (minus the nebulizer) with my progress. What keeps me going is the changes that my body is going through and though they stink to go through - I know I will feel better. Well - this is it for now. I will post more tonight or tomorrow!
