OK, Update, read labels, that was one good point, drink green tea, another good point. They don't eat anything that isn't organic...I know there aren't any regulations for organic foods yet, so how do you know they're organic unless you grow your own. Then, chapter six was totally gross, describing the slaughter house techniques...plus exaggerations. I think they are trying to 'gross me' into becoming vegan. Sorry gals, I make my own decisions based on my own experiences. This book is toast. We'll be using it to light the fire Thursday, except for page one! I don't recommend it, not worth the $18.00! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 196 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,900 Amount Saved: $2,067.80 Life Gained: Days: 23 Hrs: 23 Mins: 59 Seconds: 43

Excuse me? No meat? No cheese? No margaritas? No chips? I hope we are not promoting this skinny guy! Give that up! I liked 1989, My hair was huge!! Gave that up! Like your doctor says, make healthy choices, eat proper portions, drink water and treat yourself once in a while and that means steak and BBQ! Moderation everyone and do the research, get help from your pharmacist and doctor to come up with a plan that is right for you and your body! Now get out there and get moving! No kidding...I was disappointed. I thought maybe somebody was laying it on the line in this book. Guess not, it just might make good fire fuel! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 195 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,875 Amount Saved: $2,057.25 Life Gained: Days: 23 Hrs: 21 Mins: 48 Seconds: 58

What? What is the point on eating if you can't enjoy it once an awhile. No coffee, no steak ? geezz. There just comes a point when you have to put your foot down :) Unhooked, yes "so 1989" was funny lol. :P ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 15 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 225 Amount Saved: $135.00 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 6 Mins: 59 Seconds: 15

Yeah, I'm with Anna. I didn't climb to the top of the food chain to eat tofu! I'm all about the beef! Tam, I wasn't making fun of you or anything. Your last post was triple posted when I said that. The other 2 must have been deleted. Well, before you rush out to buy this book, that first page may have been the best of the book. At least the part about smoking was right on. As I read thru more chapters, their claim to health is "vegetarianism". The whole book is like the first page as to how they explain things, but they go on to slam every morsel of food mankind has eaten since caveman times. So if we are to get healthy, they recommend we eat fruit, water and soy products. End of story. No meat, no chicken, no fish, no dairy, no sugar, no alcohol, no bread, no pasta, no soda, no coffee....ah, is there anything left??? Needless to say, each man for himself. Take it all with a big box of salt! I will read the rest of it this week, and see what other gems of wisdom it has. :8o: My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 195 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,875 Amount Saved: $2,057.25 Life Gained: Days: 23 Hrs: 20 Mins: 38 Seconds: 44
