Ski, there are several people here who successfully used Chantix and they will be along shortly. Meanwhile, here's the scoop. Smoking isn't just a habit, it's also an addiction. It will take 3-5 days for the nicotine to go and then the rest of the "reprogramming." Look at it this way: your subconscious thinks that when you get in the car, or after finishing a meal or whatever, it's time for a smoke. It will only take a few times of NOT smoking when you drive to re-educate your subconscious. It only took me about two car trips to work to get that straight. Meals were a little more difficult, but each time you forego smoking, the closer you are to breaking that part of the habit.
Drink lots of water...that will really help you. Watch your caffeine intake, change your routines. These will all help you. Also use the Quit Program Workbook over on the left -- it's great and you will learn a lot.
Just holler if you need some help or a shoulder to lean on.
Rusty :)
