Phoenix, Wellcome to No Smoker's Group. Yes, I am with you. I use my faith also to overcome craving. I had been smoking for 32 years. This group is very helpfull too. I know about smoking alot from this group, and I believe that knowledge is a king. I am sure you could do it, eventhough every begining is hard. phoenix, you are making a good choice. I also smoked for along time and I just wasn't sure I could quit. This site is very helpful to me. I have read and posted and read some more. I think you will find the support very comforting. I do. Welcome and know you can do this. Phoenix, Welcome to the SSC! Some of our quitters have used their faith to help them along. We have a thread about it here on the site that you may find inspirational to read. We also have a great quit program we strongly encourage you to work through. Keep us posted. Danielle, Bilingual Support Specialist

My quit date will be lucky 13th of Sep. I'll be using prayer to handle my cravings because it'll be a miracle if I can quit - I'm smoking 3 packs a day and I've smoked 28 years. Right now, I'm smoking outside instead of in the apt. I find that cuts back my consumption. I'm planning exercise, veggies, sleep, & prayer to help me cope.
