Carlos all you have is today. Just don't smoke today. I never consider I have this beat. Once I start thinking that way the junkie thoughts start slipping back in. As a repeater I know what I am talking about. This quit for me is done sometimes one minute, one hour or one day at a time. No looking back and no looking forward. I promise not to smoke today, how about you? You are doing great. Carlos, Your body is healing and it will take some time. Try and make your bedtime the same every night and use relaxation techniques to help ease you into sleep. These techniques will also help you wake refreshed for the next day. Do a search within the Forums and use all the great ideas that members have provided for relaxation before bed :) Josie, Support Specialist

Carlos, You are just wanting the time to go by faster, and by sleeping it will make it easier. I know you really want a cigarette, but it won't solve anything. Try to imagine this. You take out a cigarette and you put it to your lips. You light it up and take a big drag. You feel the smoke going down into your throat. And it feels great...for about 10 seconds. Then you start coughing and it tastes like crap! But the worst part it you start feeling guilty. You feel horrible cause you let yourself and everyone here down. You are doing awesome, 9 days! 9 whole days of fighting thru this and not smoking. You want to give all that up for 10 seconds? Sorry if that sounded harsh, But you can do this! Carlos, I know it seems that the longing for a cigarette, is going to be there forever, but in reality, it gets less and less with each hour of each day! Keep pushing onward, and upward, you deserve it, you can do it, and you will will be oh so glad that you did! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 191 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,775 Amount Saved: $2,015.05 Life Gained: Days: 23 Hrs: 8 Mins: 39 Seconds: 48
