Ask him if he's ever had a root in the ass by a 68 year old bear and if he thinks this is a ladies station I would be more than happy to remind him it's not. ;p My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/20/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 172 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,096 Amount Saved: $1,720.00 Life Gained: Days: 39 Hrs: 6 Mins: 59 Seconds: 17

Blue Cloud, I hear where you are coming from but he just isn't ready to quit. All you can do right now is take a step back and take care of you and guard you quit. Keep dumping it here it will give you strength. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 171 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,420 Amount Saved: $1,111.50 Life Gained: Days: 24 Hrs: 3 Mins: 28 Seconds: 23

bc, Its not easy to deal with. Eventually he should come to his senses, especially if it happens on more than one occasion. Sorry to hear that Blue Cloud. But you know he has to come to the realization himself, that he needs to work on his health for himself. You cannot do it for him, and thats tough to deal with. All you can do is look after yourself and that sets an example for him, but there are no guarantees. You can only hope! Hopefully he will notice the example you are setting and realize he needs to follow. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 186 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,650 Amount Saved: $1,962.30 Life Gained: Days: 22 Hrs: 19 Mins: 27 Seconds: 26

bc sorry you're having to deal with this, but..... each in their own time and i am sure it is another reinforcement for your quit. it won't be you passing out from lack of oxygen. What are you doing for yourself this weekend? -aloha My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 169 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,760 Amount Saved: $1,149.20 Life Gained: Days: 23 Hrs: 16 Mins: 10 Seconds: 42

You already know I am in a very difficult relationship. Addiction has caused many problems and we currently live in seperate houses because we can hardly agree on anything except that we love each other. For many years I felt that alcholics were addicts but never looked at smokers as addicts. Of course I know different now. Since I have stopped smoking I realize just how addicted I am and I guess I have more compassion for other addicts. Today while doing simple mowing task, he came into the house dizzy and about to pass out. Rested a bit and started to go back out and did pass out and fell and hit his head. Very scary situation. I called EMS to take him to emergency. The problem. Lack of oxygen to the brain and low blood pressure. The Doctor said he has copd and advised him to quit smoking. He is 62 years old and has been aware of this problem for several years. While in the amblance and emergency room he recieved oxygen and an IV.Shortly after returning home he was telling people he just got too hot and smoked again.I have managed thru the day without smoking. I wish he would see. This should be a wake up call but I'm afraid its not.
