Thanks for the info Unhooked. I do unfortunately have an old, dried power rod. I wouldn't trade him for a trampoline though..... Well, if you dont use it all the time it becomes a very expensive coat rack! Our sat untouched for 2 years. Now trying to get back into a routine with it. You build muscle very fast with it because the resistance increases as you flex. The added muscle in turn burns a ton of calories, so you loose weight. Was looking at the workout routines in the book, still trying to figure out which ones Unhooked is referring to. Maybe she can provide us with some detailed illustrations ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/3/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 134 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,350 Amount Saved: $469.00 Life Gained: Days: 20 Hrs: 15 Mins: 55 Seconds: 21

Gen, a Bowlex is piece of exercise equipment. It's like a bench with a lot of resistance exercise options, & it can be a lot of fun for 2! Unless of course you have an old, dried power rod. Then you're probably better off on a trampoline! OK. Maybe I didn't make it obvious it was a question! What IS a bowflex? And should I have one? Greg, I am no way an expert on this stuff but was told by a friend who quit AND then lost weight that you need to get the metabolism back in gear this time without the nicotine. Strength training mixed with Aerobics along with diet is the best method. Seems everyone is saying this. Diet alone did not work for me but everyone is different. My plan is to build muscle so I will burn more calories on a daily basis. *laughs* I've never been to a state fair, I've only ever seen them sold by boyscouts at town events. Much as I love decadent desserts I do try to hold myself back a bit. It turns out that I am gaining right at one pound per week, 4 since the quit, hopefully this shouldn't be too hard to reverse as long as I don't let it get out of hand. At 27 days now I find myself eating less to satisfy those nameless cravings and returning to my regular eating habits. A few adjustments in those should see the weight back to normal or at the new norm within a few months. Time will tell and if I am wrong I will eat crow and buy a bowflex :p My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/17/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 27 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 648 Amount Saved: $113.40 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 21 Mins: 38 Seconds: 14

A Deep Fried Twinkie is something they serve at the State Fair along with some other nasty stuff that will slide right through your intestine. I do however enjoy the turkey legs and the roasted corn on cob with butter and lemon pepper!!! YUMM! Next party instead of a tree house or beach party we need a carnival with rides and everything! Greger, if you like deep fried twinkies, maybe you would like deep fried cheesecake. Montana's restaurant has them on the menu. It's cheesecake wrapped in a tortilla, deep fried , with icing sugar and hot fudge drizzled on it. You can also go for butterscotch, but I like chocolate. Highly recommend it people!
