For each the amount of time varies, however if you stick to it, like so many here have experienced, you will reach a point where the desire substantially lessons and then fades.
I understand it seems impossible at times, to think that you are going to feel any different than you do right now, but it happens, it happen to people all the time and can and will happen to you as well if ya dont smoke.
I believe this time is your time and that you stick with this quit forever. Dont allow yourself to fall into the smoking trap again.
If you are free, then I recommend that you stay that way. If you are not, I do believe that you have an obligation to yourself to let the smoke free person surface and allow him or her to start making the rational decisions. Im approaching 600 smoke free days and happy to be. I hope we all are proud of our achievements to date. We are remarkable, we are doing it!
