Welcome back, Doodles I'm happy you're back committing to not smoking. Besides doing the quit program workbook and using the coping strategies, it might be helpful to figure out what was your downfall last time and prepare for that. I'm going to bump up a post Cindy posted that has some good things to tell yourself when you think you want a cig. You can do this!!!!!! Hi Doodles. We have the same quit date. I will be watching you and hopefully we can succeed together. Imagine celebrating a year smoke free on the same day next summer and looking back at this post barely believing it. Not a bad visualization if you ask me. Good luck to us both! ;) If we can make it one day we can make it 10 days, 100 days, 1000 days... Hey Duddles for some of us we have to try a few times before the quit takes. I had someone tell me not to ever give up on quitting. You may just find yourself quit one day. So don't give up. You can do this, but be sure you are comitted to the quit. Take it slow and easy and don't look to far into the future. Breath deep and exhale slowly, enjoy the breath. Drink lot of cool water, feel it as it goes down the throat, oh how nice it feels. Visualize walking without gasping for air. Now start walking and ejoy the moment. See it can be good. Glad you are back!!!
