stress is a big trigger for me also, bold...probably for all of us. When something out of the ordinary happens, something sad, something unfair, something bad, or even something that is joyous...our mind goes back to our old way of life..."have a smoke". I know that you understand that smoking will not change anything about the current situation. It WILL cause you more stress if you do smoke. You will be upset with yourself over smoking after your 34 hard earned days of smobriety. My heart goes out to you about your family friend passing. Grief is a big trigger, but you can come out on the other side of this victorious. I found the hard times lasted about three days and then would dissapear. I would be so proud and feel so good and healthy when I held out. Don't forget how important the mind is. If you allow your brain to think about it in a fantacy way you will make it harder. I recall thinking about smoking for days. I would read or hear about someone suffering from lung cancer and I would be scared stiff. The craves dissapeared INSTANTLY. You will find you battle is a mind one now....not physical. You can do this. bold I am sorry that you are having difficult times, and I also know that sometimes, there just dowen't seem to be an answer to immediate concerns. In truth, that is accurate, there is not always an answer to every diifficult in any one given moment. However, for what its worth, I will tell you as true as I am here that smoking is never the answer to any situation in any time frame. I would not say that you are going insane, instead you might say that we are being retrained to respond to difficulties without hurting ourselves by smoking. It is the process of teaching ourselves this way of being that makes us feel we are going crazy. The truth is we are not going crazy we are instead going sane...When we smoked we were crazy, it is all a matter of degree and perspective...
