Don't worry about the tooth, Grandma. I've had a few extractions and all went well. Each one nearly made me crazy during the event, but it was all in my head. I have never truly felt a thing having a tooth pulled.
One dentist said "You'll feel a bit of pressure now, then in a minute I'll get started." I did feel the pressure and about 2 seconds later he dropped the tooth on the tray. "All done" he said with a smile. Or was it a smirk because he tricked me so well? I don't care, I never felt a thing.
The dentist always warned me about not smoking for at least 24 hours after an extraction. HA!!! I lit up on the way out to my car. The last one was after I quit and it was very nice not worrying about what kind of damage I may have been doing by not taking his advice. It also healed a lot faster. :)
Good luck, Grandma. Don't worry. All will be well.
