A base rule (or two!)

Great rules. I'd also say in absence of friends, phone your bank manager or local stop smoking helpline. As long as you phone someone! Funny thing about rule #1 is that I started that in here a long time ago in my last quit and butterflyswimmer always reminded me of that. Just goes to show that we never know as much as we think we do. It also shows that when I was strong and confident in my quit I made that rule about posting 1st and waiting for help. And when I let the addiction take power over me I didn't follow my own rule. Although it's still a great rule b/c when I did follow it, it did help. No one can take away your quit unless u let them. It really isn't worth tripping and falling and making a fool out of yourself. *Raises hand* I know!! *takes a deep breath* I love being a non smoker more than being a smoker. ?Lolo My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/18/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 0 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 0 Amount Saved: $0.00 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 0 Mins: 52 Seconds: 13

Oops, I did it again...there was more to my last post. After "Friends don't let friends smoke," I thought to add: - so you know who not to call when you get to step three if you've already let the junky decide you're going to smoke and you don't want any constitutional penalties. If you don't let the junky drive you will not smoke. Nothing but the junky can make sense of smoking. As my good friend once said, "Kiss my ash, junky!"
