Hey all, darn I missed the bon fire tonight :( And I see unhooked brought the chocolate & grahm crakers too! U all know how it is when u quit smoking, u loose your memory, lol. Well I just plain forgot. Thinking about running to mc donalds for an midnight ice cream cone. Looks like quite a few showed up. Guess I'll have to make it another week smoke-free so I can make it next week. Since the fire's still simmering I'm throwing all my negativity from this past week away. Just breathe.........Ahhhhhhhhh My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/9/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 32 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 640 Amount Saved: $153.60 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 2 Mins: 56 Seconds: 20

Thanks for the invite alohakeia:) Great way to end this day... with a bonfire, friends sharing thoughts that really matter... no cigarettes:) Anna, it's a hundred degrees here too and humid! Good basil weather. How 'bout some pesto on crackers? (Hey Sparky, how do you get your cat off your monitor when you're trying to type?) Tomorrow is a new day... mk My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/11/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 59 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 885 Amount Saved: $236.00 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 4 Mins: 4 Seconds: 12

there is is, unhooked! when someone tells themselves they want to smoke, they can just insert those kinds of things, eg, "I really really need a cigarette" Insert: "I really really need to get lung cancer and die" or "I sure wish I had a cigarette right now. It would calm me down and make me feel so much better" Insert: "I sure wish I had a cigarette right now. It would make me start coughing really bad and feel sick to my stomach" lolol...campfires bring out the best in me :p My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 140 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,600 Amount Saved: $952.00 Life Gained: Days: 19 Hrs: 15 Mins: 13 Seconds: 53

WOOHOO!! Anna!! That's SO true. How often does the junkie remind us of things like the chest pain, shortness of breath, hacking up lung butter in the shower? How often do we make the association between "I'd like a smoke now & I'd like to stink & hack & cough & get emphysema. And while I'm at it, I would like to cause worry and embarassment & helplessness in all the people who love me and would like me to stick around." Yeah, smoking helps a lot.
