Quitting smoking takes quite a bit of responsibility. How many of us have somebody, or sometimes many people, watching us? Many of us don't even know WHO is watching... but I promise you, many are.
Many of us have co-workers who are smokers, but want to quit. Perhaps they just need proof that it can be done before they "waste their time" on the impossible.
Perhaps it's a relative who is sick of smoking, but doesn't feel that "they" can quit - they know others can, but not them. But if YOU do it... the die-hard smoker who said you would NEVER quit... well then, maybe it IS possible for them.
Children watch us all the time, both those who smoke AND those who don't. Maybe one child will not take up smoking because he/she has seen the struggles you have gone through to quit. Perhaps because you've quit, you might actually be saving somebody else the heartache of having an addiction.
Before you pick up that next cigarette, think about who's watching you. Who's life may be different because you are quitting now? You may not ever even know who you are affecting, but chances are, people are watching you.
