Good suggestions, John Shutterbug, I guess I was wrong yesterday. Seems like having those around are too much of a tempatation, so I am boarding the train with everyone else. THROW THEM AWAY!!!!! You have to want to quit more than you want to smoke. And you get to choose which one. It is a good thing, not a bad thing. let us know how we can help. Use the quit tools here, as John suggested. They do help. -aloha My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 112 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,480 Amount Saved: $761.60 Life Gained: Days: 15 Hrs: 16 Mins: 56 Seconds: 59

The sleepiness and foginess are very common. Did you do the program? It really helps. Also, you have my curiosity, why would you go have a drag if you had quit? If you continue to do that it is going to be very difficult for you to continue on your quit! That is why we pick a date and then do not smoke after that day begins! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 129 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,225 Amount Saved: $1,360.95 Life Gained: Days: 15 Hrs: 19 Mins: 46 Seconds: 18

Chantix is not like other drugs. Its no big deal if you have a smoke the first couple weeks of when your on it. Think Sue and I smoked the first week through. One of my co-workers after on it a week smoke a couple cigarettes and then that was it, hasn't smoked since. First three days difficult Then easy going for a few weeks, at the end of one month a few more cravings then you coast again. Come off the Chantix a few cravings during the day for 2 days but nothing major. You are on a very easy way to quit. With Chantix, when your on it, like it or not your quitting! From reading your posts I almost bet you skipped doing the list of reasons why you need to quit. Review the Quit Program Workbook. It may sound a little silly but the tasks are there for a reason. You need to actually WRITE OUT by hand your reasons you want to quit. If you have not done this I strongly urge you to do this NOW! shutterbug (my dh is a photographer also :) ) you are just perfecting your quit is all, look forward, not back, that is where your smoke free life is. Next time, maybe, post here if you can or call a quit buddy, wait for replies before you do anything. BFS says this and it is great advice. It is worth all of this. We are in this with you :) Sue My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/3/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 68 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 680 Amount Saved: $119.00 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 12 Mins: 54 Seconds: 36

Shutterbug, Are you using a quit aide? Did you work through the online program? If you haven't, give it a try. It helps lots of folks prepare for this journey. No need to apologize for being cranky....we've all been there and we know exactly what you're going through. Let us know if there is any way we can help. You CAN do this. Hang tough, shutterbug! It's just a slip, doesn't mean the end of anything. Use what you learn from it to keep going! Try to breathe through your crave, get some water & something to chew on & tell your junkie to get lost, you're the boss now!!
