Just Breathe...

17 years ago 0 715 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Today I was in serious pain & honestly thought I was going to start smoking but again I picked up my phone and called my friend Lady & thank GOD she was there for me :) I made it through today. I'm still hurting & scared & in pain but smoking would only hurt me more. I don't know why it is that when we're hurting we want to hurt ourselves more by relapsing? And people kill themselves b/c the pain is so intense that they don't know how to deal with it. I didn't smoke, drink or kill myself today. I cried, called my friend for help and prayed to GOD to help me get through this pain. Results: I'm still smoke-free. And what'a'ya know I'm still alive, LOL. I left out that I also laid down, took some deep breaths and tried to relax. Another reason I made it through today is b/c my desire to be a non-smoker was stronger than my desire to smoke. The junkie in my head didn't win today. I did :) Just breathe....... My good friend, you have nothing to be hard on yourself about. Keep your chin up because you are an amazing, awesome person! You are quit and I am so proud of you. You don't need those nasty things anymore. You made up your mind. Remember... the only things that can make us feel bad are the things we allow to make us feel bad. I'll be on the road in a little while if you want to talk. I was going to go to bed but had to fight off a stupid craving & it was a really tough one! The reason it was tough was b/c I was feeling bad about myself & being to hard on myself over something that I did. But anyhow I went to McDonalds and got an ice cream cone & am fine now & going to go to sleep :o Have a wonderful smoke-free Sunday everybody :) Just breathe.......
