Hey, Sam! Hope you're feeling better today. As others have said, lots of people do experience craves when they're sick. Keep up with the self talk, get lots of rest & keep us posted. From one tough broad to another, we ARE doing this!!! Most people when they first quit do get sick within the first month or so. Not all but a lot. I did. Not just that it is way worse than a normal cold. Think about it. You used to smoke through colds like this or cut down till you felt better. Now you have to deal with a cold and drug withdrawal. I hear it is a very common time for relaspe when people are coming out of that first cold/flu. Be aware that you will get some hard cravings after that first sickness. I sure did. It's because when you smoked, getting better from a cold meant you could go back to smoking normal. Your mind has this trigger of getting over colds and smoking. just one more thing you will have to learn to do as a non-smoker. Congrats. Hope you feel better soon. yes, your first cold will feel way worse than it did before. Sam. So sorry to hear you're sick. I have heard others say the cravings were bad when they felt poorly. It's just the junkie trying to sneak in when you're vulnerable. Lots of water and sleep should help. Tomorrow will be better! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 121 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,025 Amount Saved: $1,276.55 Life Gained: Days: 14 Hrs: 19 Mins: 17 Seconds: 19

Yesterday I was not feeling well. Today same thing... Must have caught a bug of some sort - However, yesterday I was getting through not feeling well with just the occasional cravings... TODAY is just AWFUL ! I feel that these cravings are coming a mile a minute at me and it's not helping that I'm still feeling quite unwell. Have other's gone through an illness and the cravings hit real hard ?!?! Quite frankly I'm feeling frightened by this perhaps because I'm so weakened by my illness and I am fighting cravings all at the same time. I'll be here for a little while longer and then have to lay down. I know that rest is the best thing I can do for myself right now. Thanks for listening..
