trying....

I know there will be another quit.......i am not done trying for good.......I have tried countless times and I will continue to try over and over until i get it right........I will get it right someday. I have had 2 cigarettes........and as i am sure you all know, i did not enjoy them. I knew after the first drag that the nicotine had been out of my body and that my body had begun healing......it tasted funny and burned my throat a little going down, which of course never happens........ I then called myself an idiot for having one......... I don't know what I am going to do right now.......but, i can promise you all one thing......I will be back. I truly do care about all of you and hope from the bottom of my heart that everyone sticks with their quit. Unhooked: Have a great time at the Stampede being smoke free!!!!! Sam2007: I hope you feel better soon and stick with it. Carlos: Stick with the quit. Lamplighter: Congrats on your 4 months.......... If I can offer any advice to someone who is contemplating having a cigarette: DON'T please. It is NOT worth it. It will NOT make you feel any better. Please listen to my tag line, if you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on. I should have. Blessings and best wishes to all. Don't forget about me, cause i will be back. Kevin (aka. Seamus)

Seamus, 3 days and the nictotine is gone, the cravings will go also - but if you keep smoking the craves will keep coming. This is your life Seamus, of course you can do it. Don't give up, try again, buy some mints, fruit, gum - get through the first week, 3 days, and you will start feeling as good as I do right now. Come on Seamus - hang on a bit tighter. Good morning Seamus, Better days are ahead, we've all been there. It helped me to decide very early on how I would know that I really was "QUIT" and then I focused on that. For me to be quit, I had to experience the Freedom that others talked about. The first month or two didn't seem real, although the cravings got fewer and less severe. I felt like a smoker who just wasn't smoking right now. But I kept searching ...daily ...hourly ...looking for anything that smelled like Freedom. I really believed the Freedom thing was overrated at best, or at worst, totally non-existent. Ha ha! I was wrong. I am Quit! I know Freedom! You too will get to that "AHA" moment... hang in there. It gets better! We promise! Hang on it will pass. It is so not worth picking up that nasty cig. I know what I am talking about, I gave in and gave in and gave in. You know what I had to go through what you are going though several times. Are you willing to go though withdrawal time after time? Think about it. It does get better, your body is healing. Drink water, walk, talk to yourself, dance, scream do whatever you have to do, just don't smoke. ((hugs)) Keep the Quit Sparky My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/30/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 66 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 660 Amount Saved: $198.00 Life Gained: Days: 8 Hrs: 22 Mins: 16 Seconds: 39
