It doesn't happen to everybody, and when you get to that point, it may or may not happen to you. BUT, enough people, both who knew about this common low point AND those who did not, have struggled at this point that I felt it was worth mentioning.
Personally, I think it has something to do with major milestones. As smokers, whenever we accomplished something, we rewarded ourselves with a cigarette... mow the lawn - have a cigarette, clean the house - have a cigarette. So now that we've done something major, our brains expect a reward... and the only reward we ever really knew was a cigarette, so that's what we want. That's why other rewards are SO important while quitting!
Healthier, have you been rewarding yourself throughout your quit, and especially for being quit for one month? If not, it sounds like you're due a reward! Go out and be good to yourself for making it this far!
