When does it get easier?

I'm coming up on a month of not smoking, I accidentally quit. Something had happened medically that made me stay away from a cigarettes for a few days, a few days then turned into a few weeks. And here we are, almost a month later. Man, do I want a cigarette. I see people smoking in their cars, on tv, and I just want one so bad. But I won't pick up a cigarette because of what quitting has done to me. Right now, quitting smoking was a terrible choice. I have a face that gets red all the time; rashy & itchy. My allergies are so bad that I have to go for allergy testing next week, I tried to drink a beer the other night and I couldn't even get more than 3 sips sow without getting a headache and nauseous. I have no energy, I'm exhausted, my eyes are so dry I can barely stand my contacts. So most of my weekends consists of me laying down on the couch, watching tv because I don't even have the energy to go out, nevermind get to enjoy a drink with my friends. The doctors say I'm having a very tough time with quitting, it's not agreeing with me. This doesn't include the allergic reactions that I had to the albuterol inhaler, the e-vapor that I was so excited to use and spent money on. Can't use that. I feel like I'm in prison. I felt better when I smoked a pack every 5 days. Has anyone else experienced any of this?? I'm so tired of feeling like crap

hellow cowboy, you need to celebrate your 42 days, wow!! what an achievement.. i know what you are talking about when you get tired of fighting and when you feel it isnt getting easier .. but is it not? i think it does get easier but our will for fighting is softened with time .. think back at times when the need for this addiction has affected you negatively and remind yourself of why you quit in the first place .. and belive me it does get easier , there will come a time when you won't think of it at all.. but i strongly advice of changing your routine drastically , take on a new challenging hobby , joing a club , travel with someone you enjoy their company etc.. HANG ON THERE YOU ARE NEARLY THERE!! Hi cowboy, Shame on me for not checking out the chewers corner. chewers ..... smokers...who cares...we're all addicted to nicotine. I think it is one day at a time no matter how you take in the posion. We all find other avenues to curb the craves. Some use gum..candy..straws...water bottles....power walks....whatever. Your doing so good. 42 days!! Wow. If you look back... it really is easier now than when you first started. It just doesn't seem that way. Reflect. Our improvment comes so slow....that...unless we step back and reflect we don't see how far we've come. How are you doing now? Cowboy. I'm happy to see you again! Yes, it does get easier and no you will not always have that nagging feeling begging you to satisfy the craving just one more time. It will also become easier standing in line at the grocery store! Of course, whatever coping mechanisms we chose in our quits is a personal matter. However, I, like you, used herbal alternatives such as Smokey Mountain. Just to offer a suggestion, you can buy it online, if it helps avoid having to stare at the cans of the real stuff at all. I'd be happy to try to help in any way I can, but, you have the motivation, reasons and desire or you wouldn't be back again.
