Beverly, Your eyes may be bloodshot due to an increase in circulation as a result of quitting. If your symptoms are accompanied by others, worsen or persist, consult your optometrist. Danielle, Bilingual Support Specialist

I do recall the first few days i looked like I was out partying all night when i went into work. I think one reason was the adjustment of sleep mixing with the withdrawal symptoms. Now my eyes have never been whiter that I can remember. Eve that yellow look to my eyes is going fast in only 10 days. I would say that if it's not gone in a few days, or gets worse, then you should see a doctor. my doctor said and strange symptoms after day 4 might be related to something else so if the seem serious get them checked out. Hi Beverley, My eyes were always red upon waking when I was a smoker. I don't remember if my eyes were more red than usual after quitting. Now, my eyes are clearer than ever. It's probably just another withdrawal symptom. If I remember correctly, smoking constricts blood vessels, so now maybe you are seeing more redness since your vessels are not being constricted. It's always best to check with your doctor if you are really concerned. You're doing great! Boxerfan

Hi, I've only been smoke-free for two days, I've had plenty of sleep and I haven't been drinking but I've noticed that my eyes are looking much more bloodshot than usual... could it be because of stopping smoking? Has anyone else experienced this? I've looked through the posts but I couldn't find any references to it.
