Ok............now that you have had the chance to reply to all the wonderful people who have given you your dues and have had the time to really reflect on your amazing accomplishment of reaching the 2 year quit mark, I will, in a very humble mode, give you my thoughts. A lot of people do not know all the behind scenes of your quit and the things that you really had to deal with. Pam you and I have fought as though cats and dogs etc.etc. I am an old fart and you are a young girl finding her way in this sometimes crazy world. Our worlds are far appart, yet your achievement in this war on nicotine addiction has been truly outstanding. Joe and I have beat the hell out of you during your off and on quit and you have survived the war and are still standing with the best of us. I salute you, admire you and you know that there is a little love there just because. Pete and I wish you well and hope your teaching career is all you hoped for. Hello Pam, I would like to say Congraulations to You, and I Bow to You for being so determined and moitivated in Your quit, Yes!! You can say that again, ''What A Ride,'' But is it not the most beautiful thing after 2 years, not to reach for a cigerette or even think of having one, and go about You life as a non-smoker, to me it was like a New Lifestyle, kind of like being reborned, and it makes You have such a positive attitude on life, I can only Thank the Computer Age for giving me the chance to live again, Yes, this Stop Smoking Center does work, for I'm living proof, Or I would probally be pushing up daisy's, May You have a most pleasant continueing Journey Pam, And don't never forget this website, for I'm sure it's brought You lots of joy and happiness today, Take care, Enjoy Your Ride, Smokless In Oklahoma :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/10/2003 Smoke-Free Days: 1561 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 46,830 Amount Saved: $6,681.08 Life Gained: Days: 365 Hrs: 3 Mins: 19 Seconds: 13

Thank you so much for all of your kind words! As for a reward, well, my reward flew in to town yesterday. My niece who just turned 18 and graduated from High School and moved 1/2 way across the country all in a period of 3 days is now here and I'm SO excited! She is one of my reasons for quitting, actually #9 out of 20 to be exact. I want to be a positive role model for her in her life. She doesn't smoke, though her father and brother both smoke and she has been around smokers her entire life. She has seen my struggles with quitting and because of that, she knows just how dangerous the addiction really is. I will be spending quite a bit of time with her this summer, and that, in all honesty, is one of the best rewards I could have! Anna, you are quite the inspiration to so many yourself! Awesome stats you have there! On your thread about changing your picture, I take it that you DID change it for a little while, but then changed it back... I'm curious what it was! :) Rusty, thank you for being such an awesome mentor and role model for me in this quit! :) Unhooked, you are doing extremely well in your quit! Keep up the great work! :) Kita, I never really realized just how much smoking hindered me in my life until I was relatively far into my quit. Being able to recognize just how many places and opportunities are opened up to you now that you don't smoke is a very important step in beating this addiction, and one that you have obviously already taken and accepted! Congratulations to you and congrats on 3 months! :) Lamplighter, you are doing SO well in your quit! I'm so glad that you have come back here to do this final quit with us! Your perspectives and viewpoints are very much appreciated and add so much to this site! :) Danielle, thanks for all you and the other mods do here! I just can't say that enough! :) Lady, what can I say? We sure have come a long way from those days... although they are days that I will always remember as bitter-sweet memories. We shed a lot of tears in those days, but we also grew so much too! I'm so glad to have been able to "grow" right along with you! :) Boxerfan, thank you! I am very proud as you should be of your 82 days as well! :) Marie, yes, I couldn't ask for more than to be able to live the dreams that I have had for most of my life! Congrats to you on 1 year! How exciting! :) Pat, your post brought tears to my eyes! Thank you so much for all of your kind words! :) Alohakeia, thank you so much! I SO appreciate and admire the positive attitude that you consistently bring to this site! :) Phil, you're such a huge inspiration to me! You have no idea! I think that many of us only view those ahead of us as inspirations, but I find SO much inspiration in those following behind me as well as those ahead. You are definitely one of them! :) Penitent, thank you! Although we don't always see eye to eye, one thing that cannot be argued with is how influential you are on this site... so others as well as to me. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your everlasting wisdom that you bring here everyday! Thank you! :) Lynn, thank you! What awesome stats you have there! :) Genevieve, thank you! You are doing awesome in your quit as well! Keep it up! :) Mc, my fellow cold turkey. You know, this is the first post I have read of yours since they redid the site, and I must say I'm a little let down... I was expecting a picture of a turkey shivering out in the cold! Don't let me down! ;p My dear, I am so glad to have traveled this road with you and all of the freaks! And as for riding out into the sunset and leaving everybody behind, well, you know that I just couldn't ever do that! Yes, Cold Turkeys DO love rides... and I'm so happy that I have been able to take this one with you! :) Mr. Ed, I LOVE your ever-changing photos! And what a handsome horse you are! ;) Thanks once again for all you do around here. I wish I did 1/2 of what you do around here... but even that is an insurmountable feat! But I do appreciate every bit of hard work that you put into this site each and every day! Thanks for being there for everybody! :) Nonic, I would be lying if I said I have had "nary a puff of smoke," since I DID have 3 slips early on in my quit... after the third one, I reset my meter and left it there for 500 days... but after 500 days, I decided that I'd forgiven myself for all of my slips and I no longer wanted to look at the reset meter each and every time I logged in here... those cigarettes are meaningless to me now, so I put the meter back to my original quit date. But thank you for your kind words! You too will be here one day too! :) Crave the Quit! Ride on, baby, right into the sunset! I can't believe it's been two years already. Wow... Thanks for always being there even during the slips & smack-downs. Oh, BTW, when you get to that sunset you just turn right around and ride back here. You're not getting away that easy! Many Congratulations Pam from the both of us!! Yes, the ride has been a bit bumpy but you have arrived here safely and that is what matters - you should be very proud.
