Phil made a comment on another thread about the Nanny State in the UK which has legitimised 24 hour drinking, but is now insisting on putting health warnings on the bottles.
Now what does this remind you of? Yep, governments allow cigs to be legal, collect the tax, then have the audacity to put health warnings on the packs, such as 'SMOKING KILLS'.
.... which is why I laughed when several years back, somebody started selling what were called 'Death' Cigarettes, which I believe had a skull and crossbones on the packet. Does anybody in the UK remember them? Were they on sale in other parts of the world?
Even as a smoker, I appreciated this masterstroke of cynicism..
