I'm Stepping Down

16 years ago 0 87 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
It was a big step down but I think I'm through the worst of the withdrawl, I hope. I just thought I could do it and I'm succeeding so far! I don't know what I was thinking but it's done and over with. I did it though and I feel good in the mornings and such. Hopefully it'll get easier as time passes. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/11/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 55 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,375 Amount Saved: $192.50 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 21 Mins: 5 Seconds: 7

Mama G. Thanks for checking in. In the future, if you experience this problem, please feel free to send us an e-mail via the feedback section. With regards to your recent bout with the ND, stepping down from 14 mg is a big adjustment for your body and as such you'll experience more noticeable withdrawal symptoms. Ex: mood swings, increased cravings... Please know that this is temporary and that it will pass. Just keep trying to push through it using your coping strategies and lots of rewards! We did miss you, MaMaG! So glad you're still quit & happy to see you check in. Congrats on the pool, sounds like it was worth the wait! You missed a rockin' party in the treehouse last weekend. It's awesome how you're hanging in & you're NEKKID already, WOOHOO!! (I would have knocked the husband down. Maybe that's why I'm single :quest:??) So a quick update. I've not been here for awhile. After the updating, every message I posted didn't show up so I stopped posting after several attempts but have kept my QUIT going strong. So today I figured I'd come in and try again and look! It works so I'm back! Didja'all miss me? I got my pool a couple weeks ago. I put it up by myself with the help of my friend, hubby and 2 kids, it was a nightmare but it's up and running and very beautiful! I love it! (Now with all the money I'm saving by not smoking, I can pay the credit card off) <-- UUUUGGGGGGGGGG. So I was doing the patches. I had one more week of 14 mg till I switch off to 7 mg. Well, on Sunday while I was swimming, my patch fell off and I said the heck with it and never put one back on and don't plan on it. (I have been withdrawling for the last couple days at times but not to bad... Although I have fought with my demon the last couple days... The worst time being yesterday, I held a pack of CAMEL's with 3 smokes in my hands and wanted to light one up and smoke it but I didn't. I wanted to knock my hubby over and steal his cigarette out of his mouth! I wanted a hit soooooo bad but never took one, nor did I knock him out! I hate feeling this way but I'm suspecting it's the patch since I'm not wearing one. And another thing I hate... walking past my Boss's Mom's door and smelling the smoke while the door is closed. I love the smell, I just wanna go in and light up but I don't. Sometimes, I hate the smell of the smoke and sometimes, I just wanna sit and inhale it, almost like begging someone to blow their smoke in my face. I must be going crazy! MaMaG!!! I was wondering where you had got to! If door slamming & mouth running are symptoms of withdrawal, I've been withdrawing for years! Glad you're still with us & it sounds like your step-down is going just fine. I'm here. :) I had to work. I have a fun job. :p :8o: :eg: So I didn't get the pool yet. Thought for sure it would be here by now. They called and said BACKORDER! ARGH! I want my pool! Um so I'm wondering if door slamming and running at the mouth are symptomes of withdrawl:quest: I'm thinkin it is. I'm good to go though. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/11/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 36 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 900 Amount Saved: $126.00 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 14 Mins: 13 Seconds: 40

Don't be nervous! In all my step downs I hardly noticed a thing. When are you having your first pool party? I promise to wear a bathing suit :p My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 483 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 14,490 Amount Saved: 3,622.50 Life Gained: Days: 77 Hrs: 14 Mins: 50 Seconds: 7
