Be proud Sparky. You have come so far and it's good to see you succeeding. Not smoking gets easier in time. Soon you will view a lit cigarette on the ground as something that is really gross. Keep trudging along. One day at a time and hold your head high! You passed a huge test. Sounds like reward time to me! Well. I think it was left there as a test of your resolve and you passed , of course. Actually, do you think, when you were smoking, you would for one second have considered picking up a dog-end and smoking the last few puffs from it? I don't think so. It's just that your awareness of these things is heightened and you are to be commended for quickly talking yourself away from the situation. Keep up the good work! Just wanted to share a "moment" that happened to me this morning. I was walking to my work out this morning and laying on the ground was a cig still lit and laying there. Oh, my just of an instance I thought I could pick it up and have a few puff. :8o: Then just as that moment happened I remembered I was a non smoker :). I also know one puff would ruin everything for me. Believe me I do not want to reset my meter over a stinking puff. No way :eg: Funny how these things can trigger so quickly. I walked there to-day so I could do some affrimations on my quit and then out of know where. I guess it was good that I was telling myself the good things about quitting when this happened. I am still smoke free and enjoying every minute of it, including the little nagging moments.
