Jimmy, Welcome to our support community! Yes, Take the time to check with your doctor regarding your lips, as smoking has a habit of masking problems and your body is still healing :) Congrats on 8 days, how are you finding it? What can we do to help? Share with us and let us guide you through :) Josie, Support Specialist

Hi Jimmy112. I'd let your doctor take a look and make sure there's nothing else going on there since you've been quit for a month now and the discolorations haven't changed..... Oh, and welcome!!! Hi mate I think it will fade on its own! Takes time for your body to heal but it will! Hi, jimmy112. Welcome to the group, can't imagine why it took so long for someone to say hi. We're usually more gracious than that! Sorry I can't help with the lip thing, maybe someone else can or maybe ask your doctor? Anyway, just wanted to say hi & welcome. Congrats on your month & keep it up! Ok, I've given up smoking for like 1 month now after 8 LONG years... The damage has been done - and I hope I'll have a good support group to hold back the urges :) Nice to see a large community! now my lips are pretty dark and not red like before - obviously :) anyways, I was hoping to get some ideas of what lip repair balms/treatments I could get to reduce lines, and that dark smoker lip look IF possible... any opinions would be great! Females have the advantage of lip stick, unfortunately - I dunno if that's possible for me! :( I wish I had used chapsticks in the past or something... I've quit but my lips are dark and some areas darker where I held my cig... any advice would be helpful! thanks once more :)
