Hi Faith, Lamplighter is so right, after the 3rd day things got so much easier. The urge still comes and goes but I can control it so much better. Hang in there girl, it will get better My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/28/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 6 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 60 Amount Saved: $12.00 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 23 Mins: 3 Seconds: 17

Hello Faith Your are doing splendid. It can be touch and go however make sure you stay on the GO side. It is tempting to smoke, very tempting. Continue to show yourself just how powerful you really are. Use all your distraction techniques and watch as your quit grows. We all started down the road at day one; it can be done for sure Faith. None of us would be here if we wanted to keep smoking. Faith your doing great. The first week is the hardest. You got to stay with it to see what is on the other side. Now... the other side of the first week is not perfect.....but it isn't your first hell week either. After that...each week brings you to freedom. There is light down the road your on. Stay on it. So what ever it takes to keep your mind occupied with anything but smoking thoughts. Sleep...movies....walks...shoping...drives....reading.....ANYTHING THAT TURNS YOU ON. Faith, Congrats on day three! Instead of wondering about if you would of went to the store, learn from this experience and start thinking of things you could do instead of drive to the store that might help you manage your cravings. :) Danielle ______________________ The SSC Support Team

Hey Faith, You are doing great hang in there with us. Try to focus on the positives of not smoking if you can. I used to sit and plan my next reward. I think I rewarded myself daily for the first 2 weeks. Let us know how you are doing. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 74 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,480 Amount Saved: $481.00 Life Gained: Days: 10 Hrs: 12 Mins: 10 Seconds: 40

Faith, if this is day 3 for you, by tomorrow or the next day you should be over the worst of the physical withdrawal. After that it's mostly about getting comfortable with a non-smoking identity, and dissolving the triggers. You're doing great!! Hang in there and you'll be so glad you did! Faith Big step there...You just stepped over the dog instead of being tripped up by it. Try drinking water, water and more water...Become an aqua addict for awhile. I think you will find it helpful... nonic My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/25/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 160 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,800 Amount Saved: $1,120.00 Life Gained: Days: 29 Hrs: 6 Mins: 0 Seconds: 28

I'm too busy wanting to cry than to be thinking of smoking. :) The thing about wanting to buy smokes yesterday seemed to be driven by a FORCE that completely took over. I wonder if I didn't live such a distance from the store if I would have had the time for the craving to pass. Well, anyways, I'm grateful and taking on Day 3!! Keep the Faith.
