Thanks for the encouragement guys. Don't know what I'd do without ya'll.
Ok so a little story. We had a birthday at work today and I was sent to pick up food for the luncheon. I had called in the order the day before. I get there and spend 20 minutes in line only to be told they did not make my order. They got busy making it and about 20 more minutes go by and I'm finally loading up the car. I dropped and busted the face on my cell phone as I was putting the last bit of food in the back seat. I got in the car (borrowed from a co-worker because I car pool) and I turn out on the road which is now completely packed with lunch time attendees. This is now an hour and a half longer than the 15 minutes it should have taken me.
Irritable does not describe my mood. THEN, I look down, and in the cup holder is my co-workers cigarettes. I had driven all the way to the place without even noticing them before. I said outloud..."NO!! I AM A NON-SMOKER AND THESE WILL NOT TEMPT ME!!" I took 2 long, deep breaths, and I ignored those cigarettes for the whole trip.
I'm telling you this because I am so proud of myself. I got through a most stressful situation which I'm sure was heightened by my lack of nicotene, with a pack of smokes with me the whole time and I refused to let them get the best of me. But, for the very first time, I knew when I got back to the office that I CAN do this, I'm a non-smoker and I don't want to be anything else!
Thanks for listening to me babble!
