Good for you Jeanigirl!! It's so great to have you back here. You know that no one here judges because we're addicts. We're all in various stages of our quits and we support each other and will be happy to add you to our community. Have you read the workbook over to the left yet. You may have but if not, it really helps so much and, it's not boring. LOL It really prepares you for your quit. I get made fun of by one particular person for saying this all of the time but I have to say it, Make sure you drink lots and lot of water. It really helps with the cravings and flushes the poisons from your system. Have your hard candy, gum, sun seeds, etc. for that "hand to mouth" thing. Practice deep breathing too and I have those exercises that I can post for you too if you'd like. Avoid those triggers that make you want to smoke while early in your quit. If you can't avoied a trigger, like your computer, then rearrange it and make it different. Above all, post a lot and read a lot. We're all here and we're taking it a minute, an hour, and a day at a time. Keep us posted. You CAN do this. Hi everyone, I have been hidden away feeding my addiction, blocking out all the terrible health risks, blocking out the mental dependence, blocking out all of the millions who are trapped by this addiction also yearning to be free. Im back out of FEAR, that i will be a life long addict with no tomorrows. I will not blabber on about my failure, instead will jump right back onboard and take the road to freedom, all the best jeanigirl My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/28/2007 Smoke-Free Days: -1 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 0 Amount Saved: $0 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 0 Mins: 0 Seconds: 0

jeanigirl, I know you are sad about your failure...but you are going to find that your very failure will be your biggest defense. Take time to think about all you learned from you last quit. Think of quiting as a happy thing....it really is. This is a great place with the best people ever. Hi everyone, well to anwser your question i was quit approx 7 months..yeh i know ive already kicked myself, and proven it does not solve problems, people solve problems. I still had a strong attachment during that time, because i used ciggi;s to hide, run away from dealing with issues. Well i have had to change somethings in me internaly and face the realities of life. It occurred to me i dealt with life fine before i got hooked, and i know i can again. This has been a real learning phase for me, and i see this horrible addiction for what it is. My quit date is tomorrow, i feel more prepared, more confident, ONLY LOOKING FORWARD, all the best jeanigirl My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/28/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 0 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 0 Amount Saved: $0 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 0 Mins: 0 Seconds: 0
