Hi D2Q, Thanks for replying, it's so good to hear from you...and really encouraging about your weight loss. I'm really hoping that I can start to loose the weight. I'm wondering if I can get anyone at work to join in cos what you've described sounds like such a good idea, much better than trying to do it alone! For the rest of it, I'm really proud of us, almost one year quit. My daughter said to me that she can't imagine me smoking now and has almost forgotten what it was like when I did smoke....Good, eh?? Anyway, have a really great February and I hope to catch up with you again in March. Take care and enjoy, best regards, Lilly :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/11/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 267 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 8,029 Amount Saved: 1335 Life Gained: Days: 34 Hrs: 23 Mins: 58 Seconds: 57

Hi D2Q, Thanks for the update, you've encouraged me and I promise to try harder this month. You are doing great, I am not only impressed but also very proud of you...working mothers certainly have stresses and strains, apart from packing in smoking and loosing weight. Best wishes to you and your family, have a great March and I'll "see" you in April!! Best regards, Lilly. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/11/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 302 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 9,081 Amount Saved: 1510 Life Gained: Days: 39 Hrs: 14 Mins: 8 Seconds: 25

Hi D2Q, really good to hear from you and yes, I know exactly what you mean, there are definitely times....but I remind myself that it isn't a cigarette but the stress busting, instant gratification that I haven't yet found a substitute for. I still relish the freedom, can go anywhere, anytime and not worry about the how and the where of the next cigarette...that is worth its weight in gold. And talking of weight, I'm an absolute miserable failure and if anything I'm still piling the weight on!!! I've stopped weighing myself and I've had to stop exercising as I'm damaging myself!! Twisted ankles and dodgy knees....what a life!! Please give me some good news and tell me that you and your work colleagues are still doing great and loosing steadily!! In fact I'm so glad to be out of February, it's been c*%p!! My son is doing a snowboarding instructors course in Canada and he ended up hugging a tree at high speed...broke his arm, nose and gave himself two handsome black eyes. My eldest daughter is in Australia, back-packing with her boyfriend and my youngest daughter is at college, so the house is really quiet and I'm missing them all shockingly. Work is absolutely awful and I wish I could pack it in!!! AND my beautiful cat Harvey, who reached the ripe old age of 18 years became really ill and I had to have him put down. Other than that, things are peachy and I am so glad that I don't smoke....(irony gets lost on a keyboard, can be mistaken for sincerity!!!) Boy, that was good, seems like I needed to get rid of that...thanks D2Q, let me know how a smokefree February was for you! Best regards, Lilly :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/11/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 301 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 9,051 Amount Saved: 1505 Life Gained: Days: 39 Hrs: 10 Mins: 59 Seconds: 23

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all May Company Quitters, hope you all had a great time over the holidays, please check in and let me know how you're getting on. Bit of a mixed bag for me as I was working Xmas day and Boxing day and New Year's eve was my 3rd long day (07:00 - 20:00) and I'm ashamed to say I couldn't make it to midnight....snoring solid at 10pm!!! Feels very strange to be in a new year that I can say has been totally smoke free...haven't been able to say that for 30 odd years. I am so looking forward to "completing the circle" and getting to a point in the year where I can say that I wasn't smoking this time last year!! It's great isn't it, absolutely no more anxiety and stress about where and when I would be able to have the next cigarette. All best wishes for the New Year to you all, hope to hear from you, best regards, Lilly :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/11/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 238 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,159 Amount Saved: 1190 Life Gained: Days: 31 Hrs: 5 Mins: 0 Seconds: 51

Hi D2Q, great to hear from you and definitely great to hear you are enjoying your quit freedom. I'm with you all the way on the weight loss thing as well. I gained 35lbs in total...can you believe it!! I was just so self indulgent with chocolate and biscuits and stuff. I'm seriously on the get fit and get healthy thing now and I figure if we can overcome a serious addiction we can surely get back in shape. I'll let you know how I get on at the beginning of next month, I'm aiming for 7lb a month so that by our one year quit anniversary, I should be back in my jeans!! What a journey...wouldn't have missed it for the world and thanks for sharing it with me D2Q, best regards, Lilly :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/11/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 238 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,164 Amount Saved: 1190 Life Gained: Days: 31 Hrs: 5 Mins: 27 Seconds: 44

Happy December, May quitters! So that's late spring, summer and now winter under our belt...looking forward to a smokefree Xmas. How are you all getting on? I can honestly say that I don't have any lingering wish that I still smoked. The only thing that is still hard to come to terms with is my weight gain which still makes me feel like I'm not me...if you get what I mean!! Would be great to hear from you all, best regards, Lilly :) :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/11/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 207 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,218 Amount Saved: 1035 Life Gained: Days: 26 Hrs: 21 Mins: 6 Seconds: 38
