Hi Jean49:
Isn't it amazing that we have not smoked over 500 cigs since our quit. What a disgusting habit (addiction) we had.

Grandma,
Please know you're not alone. An inability to stay focused or pay attention to detail is common among new quitters. It is temporary and it will pass. Until then, keep a to-do list if it helps and break down tasks into smaller ones to increase manageability.

Still here. I went to a stop smoking class 2 weeks ago and finally got my Welbutrin yesterday. I know you're supposed to take it the week before you quit but what was I gonna do start smoking again? Well it certainly has eliminated the craves and I was feeling pretty bad because I started again after being quit for a year. About the only symptom I have is the foggy brain. I took a shower with my socks on (did that last year too) and turned wrong direction when going somewhere. Have to write a to do list. :)
