I don't know that much at all about NRTs. I had to quit Cold Turkey because I'm diabetic. But I don't think you're getting the same amount of nicotine in an NRT that you got in a cigarette. And, cigarettes have so many other chemicals in them that make us addicted.
Man, this is an interesting topic. I'd like for this one to keep going.
Watch out for those 30, 60, and 90 Day marks. Be prepared just in case you do hit a bump in the road. Shoot, I've been reading posts and trying to find where we DON'T hit a bump. ha ha ha We'll get there though.
If you don't want to avoid the watering hole right now, then sit at a different table, maybe order something other than Jack ;), and even sit your glass on the opposite side than you normally would. You know, change it up so that it's less of a trigger for you. Oh, and get some of those roasted/salted peanuts in the shell to take into that watering hole so you can stay busy. (Uh, Just make sure you don't grin at anybody with peanuts between your teeth.) HEEE!!
I think your new job will help you too, Bear. I really do think you've been sort of down. Getting out and about with people will help you and then, you have us too.
