Sparky, Welcome back. Your not the only one that has quit more times than you can count. I'm the prize quitter. Mark Twain once said... "Quiting is easy!..... I've done it a thousand times." I know that this is my final quit. I also know that if I had not learned from all those failures I would not be where I am at now. You mentioned prayers and God's Will. Under withdrawl symptoms is a topic entitled prayer that we all add to. Check it out. Each experience quiting was as valuable as a prize gem. Taking all my lessons with me to this quit made each step more do-able. :) Mercy My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 99 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,994 Amount Saved: $442.53 Life Gained: Days: 12 Hrs: 22 Mins: 20 Seconds: 9

Good for you Sparky. Welcome back. May I add one thing? After you accept and embrace that craving ... tell it to go away and leave you alone because you don't smoke anymore. I'm serious. Try it, it works for me, so far anyway! Remember all prior quit attempts are rehearsals for the real one. We never know which is the real one until it happens. So always treat it like the real one. So, I have been pondering all day whether to post or not. I have been in this spot so many times that I have lost count. But if I am going to do this I need to post and keep posting. Today is my quit day. I called my doctor and together we have come up with a strategy that, with Gods will, it will work. I cannot add much more than that. I will be one day or moment at a time. I am going to make this as positive as I can. If I stay in the negative, then I smoke. This will be a celebration into my new life. If I crave I am going to embrace it and hold it close. Craving is telling me that my body is healing, what a wonderful thought. With that, it is nice to be back.
