I am a Chantix patient

Welcome Lolo, Chantix patient here. It is a good aid, but only an aid. You do the work, and it helps you forget about the cancer sticks. You really need to replace the time you spent smoking with something new. So your life changes. Start imagining a new life, a new you. Are you buff? Go for it!!! Well, It is now morning and I made it through with NO Cancer sticks. Now lets get through the text couple of hours. I did notice the medicine does help with the thoughts of somoking and some of the withdrawl systems. I know that I am not experiencing anything like I did when I went cold turky but my word....It still is work. It is unbeliveable how much control nicotine has in your life when you somke for so long. I have to say right now that seeing eveyones quit meter is such an inspiration. I am looking forward to when I see my quit meter at 7 days...14 days...You get the point. Plus, knowing that their are other people out there that are trying to save their lives also and being able to communicate with them about everything that we are going through Is a God Sent. I know wanting to quit is the most important decision that I could have ever made. 19 years of life smoking and now I can look forward to maybe 60+ years of being smoke free!TextText :)Oh by the way~what are all the icons???I have no idea what they all represent? Also does abyone have the instant messenger? Does anyone even use it? By the way, I didn't mean to worry you with my experience! Chantix quitters' experiences vary a lot. Assume you're one of those that will just sail through, until YOUR experience tells you something different. Then do what you need to adjust - and maintain that precious quit! Hi Lolo, A BIG congratulations on your first day smoke free. I'm also using Chantix. Didn't quit until Day 12. Felt pretty downright depressed Days 6 through 11 or so. I think it was the physical withdrawal from nicotine while still smoking. I now realize it's going to take diligence and a conscious effort to stay quit, during the time I take Chantix and after. But I believe Chantix is REALLY helping. And I'm up for the fight. Just remember to NEVER let your guard down! Welcome To Freedom, Mike :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/11/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 14 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 283 Amount Saved: $49 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 7 Mins: 49 Seconds: 0

Lolo, As you can see, you're not the only one using Chantix to help you quit. Remember, it is an aid and you'll still need to prepare for cravings and other triggers. Our online quit program is a great tool to help you do just that! Here are a few more ideas to help you through those cravings: * Eat spicy food * Brush your teeth * Take a few deep breaths * Try something new * Get creative * Learn how to play a musical instrument * Tackle a home project * Go out to the movies, to dinner...
