WE can really throw a bash with the cash we've saved now! LOL Are you doing something special with the kids this weekend or just enjoying their company? (I know I just love to sit & chat with mine.) My second daughters bday was today and I made a nice supper & chocolate cake of course, and the little Grandson loved that (as he was covered in it) I was worried how it might go because she and her husband both smoke.(The only child of mine who did.) So imagine my surprise when they came in and they have both quit, he yesterday, she today. That made my day, that makes all my children smoke free, including sons-in-law & Hubby! I am impressed! So now that I have the days straight....coming up shortly... Have a womderful 30 day anniversary, smile all day! You deserve it! Do something really nice for yourself (Have your own chocolate cake!) And say, meet you back here in another 30 for our 60th? (And by the way, you are a great help on this site, there is a great calmness to your posts, which I need, cause I am the jittery one) Have a great night! :8|: My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 30 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 774 Amount Saved: $316.5 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 17 Mins: 47 Seconds: 36

Don't worry about it, Lainey... my meter will click over to 30 sometime this evening. Thank-you for the generous sentiments... I appreciate that. I'm honestly not sure how much I have to offer to anyone else, but I do know that it's working for me. If being smoke-free and happy about it is the goal, then I'm doing alright so far. I have some rough moments, but nothing that has really caused me to sweat. And at this point... I'm looking forward to things getting better... not more difficult. Thanks Lolly!! I can remember when I was the one encouraging you in your formative steps... and now it's you encouraging me! And that feels pretty good!! Thanks for coming back to lend some moral support to an old friend. I'll take all I can get! :) Thanks, Penguin! I think you're a winner too! Josie, I pick up my kids this Friday (Good Friday) and I'm gonna be able to say, "Hey ya guys! Your dad has been smoke-free for over a month!" That's meaningful to them... very meaningful... but even more so to me. It means that I might be around for a while. It means that I can continue to be a Dad to my kids. And there is no better reward than that. That's the top of mountain!
