****BIG WELCOME TO LADY**** Pulls up a chair by the pool, opens a bottle of bubbly and sets a tray of our finest magic chocolate on the table in the shade beside our NO SMOKING or you gets a poking sign. What's that book you're reading Lady? Here's a copy of "Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway" in case you feel like a little practical motivation. Yipeeee!!!!! We have another shipmate to party with for a while!!!! ***walks up and down the decks waving a big neon sign that reads*** PLEASE *SAVE OUR BUBBAS CATCH AND RELEASE* Good Morning Captain, Shipmates and visitors, Arrrggghhh this first mate really appreciates all our shipmates and all the work they do to keep us sailing and partying on. MomMom, hope you have the best time ever! You know it will be relaxing and we will consume a few gallons of 'ritas with you in Cabo when you get back. Take tons of pictures, you's lookin beaudacious in your boa! Have fun fishin. Rainie...you look so wise 'n lawyerly in those new glasses...very stylish. Do you mind if we all get sunglasses made in that style so's we can see if the chippies are loungin at the pool in Cabo? JT, sista....I can just see you taking a baseball bat and jumping up and down while smashing your computer to bits whilst a stream of colorful language escapes through your mouth and steam bellows from your ears. Yikes...haven't had an email from Raine or you for a while JT...have you lost my addy sistas??? Feel free to ask for our emails shipmates...the water can get choppy and it helps to have magic emails to use as lifeboats. Freemom, (((((magic hugs))))) It's so good to see you back again. Please don't ever give up on your quit. You must be able to find and then keep your motivation alive at all times to kick as$. You MUST COMMITT 100% in order to do this, but the great news is that you ony have to do it one teeny tiny little insignifigant sickarette at a time. We are here for you, but call your doc and get your meds in balance because every little bit helps. Thanks for the great music...it's so nice to hear everyone singing today! Where are you FAITH???? KYgirl...everyone else who's got internet available??? :eg: Phil.

Freemom checking in. Been lurking and reading last few days but not posting. Got thru my first few days great, then suddenly had a total loss of motivation - became totally apathetic and stopped trying. Been reading old posts, re-reading my prior quit journal entries, thinking a lot and writing again. Still taking Chantix, so at least I don't have to deal with nicotine withdrawal - just those psychological issues which have always been my real problem. The good news is that I have found my motivation again and am back on track and more determined than ever to succeed. I'm going to reset my meter again, because I really want to do it right and feel proud of my success. I think I need to call the doc, because a funny thing coincidentally happened this morning - I took a slightly increased Zoloft dose this morning, since I felt I was getting concerned about my numbness/apathy. I think the post-event let down made me a bit more depressed. And now, I feel better and up to my challenge. Sorry about my ranting, but I wanted to get this out publically to help propel me. Part of the pitfalls of being a closet smoker - being a closet quitter, too! Got an inspirational song for myself and all others who need a lift : The sun'll come out tomorrow Bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow, there'll be sun Just thinking about tomorrow clears away the cobwebs and the sorrow till there's none. When I'm stuck with a day that's gray and lonely I just stick out my chin and grin and say: The sun'll come out tomorrow So you gotta hang on till tomorrow, come what may Tomorrow, Tomorrow, I love you tomorrow You're always a day away. Tomorrow, Tomorrow, I love you tomorrow You're only a day away. - from the show "Annie" My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/24/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 5 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 66 Amount Saved: $20.4 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 12 Mins: 10 Seconds: 56

Here is Rainie following Captn's orders.....
Stay strong, help those who need it, be kind with those who are struggling a bit...
Lady, please step right on over here to the sunny side of the ship. Here, borrow my sunscreen...no wrinkles remember! Now, do you feel that nice breeze blowing across your face? The warmth of the sun as you close your eyes and lean back in your lounge chair. Mmmmm that is such a soft cushion that you melt right into it. Feel the love that is coming from everyone on the ship. The aura is gentle and tender. Feel it's glow? It is enveloping you in it's safe and secure embrace. The ship knows what a deserving and generous person you are. You have a responsiblity to know this of yourself as well. Please take some time to lick your wounds but you need to come out of this a stronger and more observant being. Remember you and you alone hold the responsiblity of creating your happiness. You can not stop what people do to you but you can be responsible for how you respond. Cuddle up and take a day or two and then get on with it my friend! Would anyone mind if I just come hang out a little while. You seem to be having so much fun. I would like a chair on the deck in the sun by the pool. I've got a good book to read. If you don't mind... I'll just have a seat over here in the corner and escape for a while. Glad to see everyone is doing well. I wouldn't dare smoke at this point. I fought too hard to get here. Just kind of need a little get away. This ship seems like the perfect place. good Thursday morning, or Friday Eve, depends on your outlook on life..we almost have it all on the Ship now, Rainie is our legal counsel, and we have a nurse on board, a music director, and entertainment director, serving wenches, chefs, do we have a Masseuse yet? We about have it covered...The Captain is going to be busy today - as Thursday's usually are...and will be out of the plant with no computer at a off-site meeting on Friday....so I am counting on everyone to keep this boat rockin' while The Captain is out trying to earn his paltry salary ;p Freemom- who are you? Haven't heard much since you have been back..Lady? You hanging in there? Stay strong, help those who need it, be kind with those who are struggling a bit...I must be off....The Captain My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/26/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 62 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,247 Amount Saved: $139.5 Life Gained: Days: 12 Hrs: 11 Mins: 19 Seconds: 40

Hear Hear Ladycig. Loved the speech. (E-mail does not seem to work. I was using some very colorful words last night. I was responding and then when I hit send it gets lost in space. Happened several times. Thought d-m- I need a smoke. Just kidding, but in the past I would go take a smoke break whenever the computer made me mad. Instead just went to bed.) Hope everyone on board is having a wonderful Thursday. I know I have. Remember every cloud has a silver lining. Sometimes it just takes our rose colored glasses to see it. Stay health and smoke free. Yeah :) :) :) :) :) :) :) Julie My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/15/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 72 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,456 Amount Saved: $252 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 21 Mins: 52 Seconds: 15

uuuhhhuummmm....*This is Rainie putting on her lawerly glasses/hat** Here ye, here ye, I am here to represent and defend the soon to be victim, "Bubba". Bubba would publicly like to defend himself against any catching that may be anticipated by one, Momsquared. Bubba would like to beg for mercy and proclaim that he was living in this lake/water long before you decided to catch his a**. He is also a non-smoker and would like to remind said Momsquared that he would gladly pose for a picture!!! So, speaking of eating animals...when we get to Cabo do we get to eat the tequilla worm???? OK JUST KIDDING!!! Here is hoping everyone is having a great day and dreaming wonderfully soft dreams about clean white fluffy nonsmoking clouds...MAN I LOVE MY GLASSES!!!! ***does backflips all the way down the maindecks*** Yipeeee...we's gonna PARTY!!!!!!!!! Good Evening Captain, Shipmates and all our visitors (special hello to Lady...pull up a chair Lady...we'll show you how to break dishes and kick some newbie as$, then you can give us your version) :p :eg: ;p Arghhhh, Captain...Tough love...is this a first for you? Yes we all need it sometimes...thanks for shooting me the straight goods when I've needed it...hmmm have I needed it...oh sorry, maybe that was the mods...thanks mods. MrM, your quit is indeed impressive and a success due to your positive attitude, determination, and commitment to staying quit. I sure hope MrsMagic will soon join you in your quit (Hi MrsM...c'mon...hop on board with us...your Mr sails a really steady course...you can be the "Head Wench" and I bet you love to PARTY as much as he does...plus he calls his people and sends the chippies to entertain us wenches, wanna see the pictures? ****Seriously for a minute**** The spirit of the Magic Ship has been explained, detailed, expounded, defended, applauded, supported, encouraged, ultimately prevails and will continue to do so as long as Rainie, Mrmagic and I are onboard. We will give love when needed. We will give tough love when needed. We welcome everyone and strive to be positive at all times in all ways. I have not yet publicly posted the life altering changes that I have stayed quit through and I may never do so. Some of you know some of it and a few of you know all of it. Let me just say, that if I can quit and then stay quit through everything that I've gone through in the past 60 days, then anyone and I mean ANYONE can do it. They just have to want to. I did, I do, I will. By the way, a big thank you to Rainie, Mrmagic and all the other people who've helped me get through the tough bits....my life is so much better for having quit and I will stay quit no matter what. I resign. (see Rainie's post for info on how to resign) ****End of seriousness**** Now then Rainie, Cap'n, you're exactly right....so c'mon shipmates, visitors, lets have some friggin fun!! We need to get this boat rockin again, how we do that isn't important, but it needs to Rock!! :) :) :) Pat Fi
