You are all right, guys. I know you are. Deep down inside. Too bad we can't just snap our fingers and be done with it. That would be too easy, right. We are tryin so hard to get our own place, and I can't wait. One month for hubby to finnish this year at collage, 3 months for my daughter to finnish grade 6. And then we can finally move. I am trying really hard to get us put of here quicker though. And for today, right again. I am doing nothing. Well, I am doing a little. But very little. I am sick of being a maid to 5 people that aren't even my hubby and kids. Not anymore. They are adults, my parents, brother and (possibly in the future) sister-in-law, and their infant son. i love them all, they are family. But it is not my job to take care of them. I have my own kids and hubby to care for, they appreciate it at least. But not the rest. They can care for themselves. Not my job, anymore! Whynot - Ugh - how frustrating for you! I don't blame you for being annoyed and angry and upset. 41 days ago, when you felt this way, you would distract yourself by smoking. This is not about wanting to smoke - this is about not wanting to feel angry/annoyed/hurt --- try to separate these 2 things in your thinking. Okay, that's not an option now, so what can you do instead? Can you talk to your family about what you're going through? Can you take your 5 yr old to the park to play? Can you soak in a hot bath with a good book? Can you go for a walk? Can you bake cookies with your child? Find something! You & I have had many similar struggles and you've been such a life line for me. Thank you. You can make it through today. Take it one hour at a time! Whynot, Sounds like you are starting to deal with things in your life that you never realized were really there, because we used to hide behind the cigs to make it better. I am going through something very similar. Finally looking out for me for a change and the people around me are not understanding that. We have to realize that we are not slaves, we were not put here to just do for others, and do for others, and do for others. They can do too. We need to stop being "enablers" and start making them own up to what they know is right!!!! I used to make everything right, by going and having that smoke when things got tough, now I am not going and having that smoke, I am dealing with it and yeah sometimes that really hurts. But in order to keep our quit, we need to do this.!!! Stay strong!!!! You can do this too. We have faith in you. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 26 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 659 Amount Saved: $130 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 19 Mins: 1 Seconds: 49

My goodness...who are these people you live with? You need to be in a loving and nurturing environment! If they will not supply it for you I say create it yourself. You say they will "look" at you all night....so what?!? Close your eyes! Just tell em "I needed today and I took it, case closed"!!!! Hey Whynot! They are jealous. Whatever it takes to keep you quit use it to your advantage. Do not give them the satisfaction of you giving in! One day in the not too distant future you will look at them with pity for their addiction instead of envy. My father lived with us when I quit and he smoked 3 packs a day. I use to envy him. Now I am free and the emotion has changed to pity. Be proud of yourself. As for the no day off thing... heck you can do that surface clean thing and then chill. Put on your favorite CD and sing at the top of your lungs. Get the kids to pitch in too. You are doing great and you are going to be fine! You are determined and that is what it takes.
