4 1/2 days to go

Thanks for your posts Pat & Marty, Unfortunately, the nicotine is not out of my system as the mints I have been sucking contain a small amount of it. Possibly the reason why I didn't fail on day 2 again. The good news is though that it is 3,999 chemicals less than contained in a cigarette. Having said that, godzilla is here today and was last night. So I decided to take drastic action and buy a DS Lite (handheld games console) and Animal Crossing. I'm in no way a gamer compared to some I know. However, it is taking my mind off the evil weed. Anything that eats up time is good for me at the weekends, at least for the first month. Day 4 is just beginning and you know what that means... Nicotine has left the building (in your body) Now, the demands are strictly psychological - and you can do it!! Your body has to find a new way to react without the nicotine, and you are strong enough to fend off those craves, those uncomfortable moments, and realize the healthier you. Be strong and stay faithful and keep the QUIT. Still here for a bit, Ph1l, what about tomato soup? :) If it has mint in it, its safe. Did I mention that I never want to see another mint as long as I live? My lungs and heart like me now, but my gums are holding a ballot to go on strike. Part of the GWU (Gums working union) deal apparently. Kev p.s. ok I am really going now

Wow, what have I started? People are starting to grow things and name them after support buddies. Bear planting a bush, alohakeia growing stuff. Phil and his money maker tomato plant. p.s. I don't drink any tomato juice, if you do of course you'd be a cannibal too!!! Well as is very rare for me I haven't been posting for a while. I've been stuck on a major install. High stress, lots of problems, but very few nico-thoughts. If every week was like that I could reach a very big quit meter number :) freemom, glad you're doing well. One of these days I will catch you on IM :) I think by the sounds of it Mike is going great. Rewards - As I can't really call having chance to sleep a reward. I will have to think of something. Especially something that sorts out my weekend boredom (boredom is dangerous at the start of any quit). Thanks for reminding me. My head is like a mushy landscape at the moment. I try to post at least once every three days, even if it is my thoughts and to see how every one is. If I don't post for two weeks then you know I am either on hols or about to reset my counter. I plan on it being the former (yes positive attitude has not left me). Just been reading lainey's posts. Quite inspiring! Anyway, the sun is shining, its good to breath the clean air. I'll be offski home shortly. Have a great friday! Kev
