That's very interesting because I have seen many recomendations for new quitters to cut down on caffine when quitting for several reasons. The first reason is that when we quit, caffine has more of an effect on us than it did before and the other reason is that it tends to cause increased cravings, and the two things that you mentioned, soda and coffee, both of course, have caffine in them. That's very interesting. Personally, I didn't cut back the amount of caffine I was taking in a day and I didn't notice either increased cravings or more jumpiness, but I have seen enough people say that it does affect them to believe that it does have an effect.
