Hi Tutti. Thanks for the kind words. The doctor has increased the meds and I sleep alot. He doesn't want me to feel any pain. My husband works shift work so I'll always have at least 8 hours away from him. I can't understand why he doesn't want me to quit. He thinks I have to much to worry about now. I do have so many chnages in my life. I am so used to working alot of hours and staying busy at home. Now I have lost my job and I am pretty much useless right now. So many restricions!! If only I could do more it would make this easier. 8 more weeks and I'll be able to more. I am going to make some pillows tomorrow. I just don't want to sleep all the time. The pain isn't real bad. Just lots of leg cramps. Thank you for looking me up. It means alot to me to know someone cares. I don't have anyone to stay with it. But I do go in another room when he smokes. He leaves them laying around just to tempt me I'm sure. Just makes me more determined to prove him wrong ;) Thanks again. I wish I had you to talk to all day long. Thanks again!!! My spelling might be off to. With these meds its hard to think straight sometimes :confuse: My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/19/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 6 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 270 Amount Saved: $72 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 16 Mins: 45 Seconds: 8

Good morning Tutti. I did smoke almost 3 packs a day. Maybe I better recheck my meter. It said I was a 10 on the scale of women smokers. Glad to be a 10 somewhere. :p Sunflower seeds are a great ideal. I love peanuts too. I woke up feeling better today. Maybe I will force myself to get dressed and head to Walmart. I avoid driving because of smoking and it's still pretty painful working my fee. But I need to go to find me a hobby. Thanks for your ideals. I am going to be strong today.Good ludck to you today as well. And to everyone. Thanks Aunt Deb. The doctor says i can drive as long as its comfortable and I'm not on the drugs. So I skipped the drugs for awhile this morning. It did hurt alittle driving but it felt so good to get out. My first instinct was to light up but since I didnt have any it was ok. I made it there and back. I bought stuff to make pillows and bought lots of chew stuff :) I promised myself yesterday that I would get up this morning and quit feeling so sorry for myself. So far I have had a good morning. It's going to be a good day. I know it's going to get easier sooner or later. I can't believe how bad my car smells though :gasp: But I will work on that as soon as I am mobile again. Have a good day!! Good morning Tutti. Well they say the nicotine is out of my system after three days but I sure am craving this morning. I have plans to stay busy today with the pillows so that will help me get through one more day. I have noticed that I'm not eating as much though. Seems like I don't really want to eat anything at all. Is that normal? I know it wasn't like that with my last quit. Hell week is over so now it's a piece of cake right? haha My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/19/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 7 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 330 Amount Saved: $84 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 20 Mins: 28 Seconds: 51

Yes, it seems to be a part of it. I was telling my sister about it and she shared a story about her quit. One day she was getting gas for her car and could not get her car parked on the right side to put the gas in. How this is one very smart well educated woman (really). She said that after a number of attemps she went into the station and told the attendant (whom she knew because she was a regular). "I am quiting smoking and you will either have to pull my car up to the pump or sell me a package of cigs". The guy was more than happy to pull her car in for her! Some days are just like that. PS. She has been smoke free for many years now. Hope today yours in better, Rose My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/30/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 27 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 548 Amount Saved: $101.25 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 19 Mins: 24 Seconds: 49

Hi Porky, Don't take on too much at once. This is a big deal and need all of your attention right now. Bear down and get through these first few weeks...THEY SUCK. Start to think about what it will be like and what you'll do once your smoke free. Go for a walk and try out the new lungs...they work so much better. You may cough some, but you'll start to get wind. Walk around the block. In a couple of week if you keep it up you'll be walking a couple of miles and not even know it. That will help with your new hunger...food will taste sooooooo good, but exercise will feel even better. Don't worry about over doing it, it's been so long since you've used your lungs it will take some baby steps to get right. Enjoy. Porky and Changing, Are we having fun yet? I'm still waiting. HA HA Man, it is so weird how one of those Mental cravings come out of the blue. I'll be minding my own business, busy doing different things, not thinking about smoking when BAM, SMACK, POW....There's that thought to light up. Are you guys doing this too? I'm not feeling sad like I was but, I'm still not quite myself. I do feel really tired. I think these mental cravings are really taking their toll on me. You know what's funny? I can be real optimistic on this site while on one thread. I'll be so encouraging, sign my name to my post, and then all of a sudden, I feel another huge crave which makes me feel down and sort of defeated. I'm not going to smoke but, it's pretty rough right now. Hugs, Tutti My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/18/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 27 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,251 Amount Saved: $96.93 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 22 Mins: 42 Seconds: 35

Hey Terri, What chest x-ray and what about water retention? Tell me about that, okay? Are you having more trouble with something else? I'm lost so fill me in, okay? Girl, it's so good that you can do a little more, you have Chantix now, but more important is that the tissue and bone look good. That's such a relief!!! Now, you're only going to get stronger. With the weather getting warmer, you should start thinking of a special place outside where you can enjoy the fresh air. Your OWN place with some pretty flowers or plants around you. You deserve that because I know you haven't been able to get out and reward youself and you've been recovering for so long now...You deserve your own private pretty place outside. OH, I can imagine how stressed you are being a mother again at 50. Girl, we are so in sink. My daughter already has me babysitting when she has the baby. I'll be a 47 year old daytime Mom. PLUS!! My youngest son, he's almost 22, is moving back home. I'm sooo use to that empty nest now so it'll be a huge adjustment. Okay, are you STILL craving? LOL I am...big time. Terri, I have to have candy, gum, or toothpicks in my mouth at all times or I start craving. Sunflower seeds have made my lips sooo chapped from the salt and my gums around my bottom teeth are sooo sore for the salt. Are you having trouble sleeping at night now? I AM!! Can you tell? Pfft!!! I'm rolling my eyes here. And, I'm crabby Again....Are you? Okay, I've vented. LOL But let me know if you're feeling all that crap too, okay? You too Changing. The three of us are right here together. Let me know how you're feeling too. Okay, I know it's going to get easier but you know, I'm really wondering if thoughts of smoking ever REALLY goes away completely. I'm really starting to think that nicotine is so, so addictive that we'll have urges to smoke from now on. Let me know what you think? Mercy posted a great thought though....She said that, as a smoker, think of how many times you craved a cigarette when you were in a place where you couldn't smoke. Like the the movies, the doctor's office, at work, riding along in a non smoker's car, etc. She said, actually we craved then too and a whole lot more. That is true. Now where's her post because I
