Jean, Are you still there? Keep venting, girl. I know exactly what you're going through and it hit me exactly at the same time. For me, it was more like one constant craving and it happened on Day 3 and then during my second week. I felt totally Zapped of energy after it was over with AND that's not too long. You may have to fight today but that's what we're here to help you through. For me, when those cravings got seriously strong like that, I had to keep drinking that water but if you'll notice, you're getting stressed out/tense/angry. This is the point where I had to literally b**ch out that demon. Say things like: Ahh, Bite Me!!! Back off, this is my life, my choice, my quit!!! I AM a non smoker!!! This is what I want!!! You won't break me, I'm in the one in charge here!!! Stop wasting your time!!! Jean, whatever you can think of that puts you IN CHARGE, that's what you need to say to the nicodemon. See, it helps you to blow off steam BIG TIME, puts you in charge of you mind and body, and helps you through the craving. Give it a shot. Okay? Take a big swig of water, slam the bottle down, and then say, "Ahh, bit me!!" Sort of like you're in at a bar and you are some kind of tuff!! It worked for me. Keep posting. Post and don't smoke. Stay Strong with Me!! Hey Jean do you have kids? I had one day I felt those cravings were just like labor...i'd breathe through one...have a drink of water, distract myself..and finally it would be over...whew! then Bam!..another one would hit.... repeated the coping strategies.... it would pass.... then BAM! well, this went on for a couple of hours.... and finally, you know what? it was over and i was still smoke free you can do it girlie....whatever it takes, just hold on it will be over and you will be smoke free -aloha My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 23 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 928 Amount Saved: $156.4 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 4 Mins: 38 Seconds: 23

I usually get the worse cravings 1st thing in the morning, after dinner and then around 8 p.m....BUT this morning at 4:30 it was like I was hit with a sledge hammer.. I get rid of one and then around the corner comes another one!?!?? It's too dark outside to walk it (them) off.. waiting for the sun to rise... been pacing around here riding each crave one at a time and am really really tired... Sometimes I wish that I could SEE the nicodemon and smash his damn face to pieces!!!! Sounding a little angry? OH YES ! ! !
