Thanks, Sunshine and Dawya!!!!!
And Congratulations to my quit buddy mlk, too!!!!!!
We're doing it!!!!!
And wait'll you all see my finger and toe nails tomorrow!
lolol...feeling sooooooooo good!
I am so thankful for this site and all the people who continually share their quits...good and bad moments...this has really made a difference for me....hearing how others have handled cravings, being encouraged to give myself rewards, learning more and more about this addiction, being whatever help I can be to other quitters, and for the laughs!!!! I am especially thankful for those who bring the humor, since I spend so many hours here...lol
I was sure hoping I'd get to this point, but had my doubts based on past experiences. I think I have tried almost every way there is to quit, with never a day without a cigarette in 36 years, up to 2 or more packs per day for a few years now. During the past year I had at times resigned myself to killing myself with cigarettes. But, one day I decided to snap out of it, give this drug Chantix a try, and use my life more fully again. And in searching for more help, I stumbled upon SSC. It truly has been one of my main coping strategies. lol...ok, I know I already said that. But, it got me through the first few days of being incredibly spaced out, mourning the loss of my constant companion, understanding what this recovery process is all about, and finding that I do have the strength to do this....not to mention meeting new, supportive, non-smoking people.
Now, I KNOW I can do it!!!! Not One PUFF EVER, EVER AGAIN!!!!!
THnaks again to everybody here
