Hi Malinda,
44 days is awesome! You've come so far...
You've quit for 44 days for some very imporatant reasons.
Are you really willing to give all that up for a cigarette.
Do you know that if you smoked a cigarette now you would probably
get sick to your stomach because you body has adjusted to not smoking?
I'm only into my second day, but I keep reminding myself that I
would be DEVASTATED if I gave up the progress and momentum I've achieved so far.
I'm also on Chantix. From about day four through day eleven on it, I was extremely cranky and pretty depressed. Still smoked a pack a day. I thought it was because of a number of unrelated stressful, ongoing events happening in my life these days. Now that I've quit smoking, I'm not having the usual incredibly rough withdrawal symptoms. My conclusion is I went throught the physical withdrawal last week WHILE smoking! And now I can quit with just the big psychological factors to deal with. Only my opinion, talk to a doctor, but if you're 44 days in, you're dealing with the psychological stuff now and Chantix isn't going to be of much help?
Anyway, I hope you're OK. Please post back and let all these good people help you through this.
Mike
