G'Day Lamplighter! Hey New Life, New Name! Or Old Name, whatever the case may be. The important thing is that you are still on this journey with us. I am beginning to feel quite comfortable as a non smoker. At least in my day to day everyday life. I am sure that there are still lots of times to come when I will still need every ounce of my determination to get to my goal, but for now, the freedom is beginning to shine! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 76 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,900 Amount Saved: $801.80 Life Gained: Days: 9 Hrs: 7 Mins: 51 Seconds: 16

Lamplighter... well that's definitely before my time.... WAY before my time because I don't remember that name... guess that's why I didn't figure out who you were. Well, sorry if I made public something that you wanted to keep private, but it sounds like you're well remembered and are doing a great job at your current and final quit! Crave the Quit! Aaaah, in addition to being recalcitrant and penitent he is also inquisitive and discerning! Lamplighter. I've thought the same thing myself. Hmmm. Curiouser and curiouser. Oh and to throw my two cents in about the subject at hand "If you were to return to smoking..." I think I would be wholly and completely disillusioned about any romantic notions I may have secretly held onto these 2 1/2 years. I admit, and perhaps I'm in a minority, there are still some great memories that I have that are tied into smoking. I worked on a few small cruise ships and a yacht in my 20's and there are sunsets, adventures, and encounters that all found me with a smoke in my hand. While I traveled during those years one of the few constants in my life were the cigarettes. I loved Mr Ed's analogy about his ex-wife because it is so true. My bubble burst from the realities of smoking and I can't go back. I wouldn't go back. I can wax quixotic about all sorts of things from my past but it doesn't mean they would fit who I am now. Sorry for the novel, y'all. Enjoy your smoke free lives without regret My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/5/2004 Smoke-Free Days: 1017 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 20,340 Amount Saved: $4,576.50 Life Gained: Days: 77 Hrs: 16 Mins: 3 Seconds: 40

Ya gotta give me a hint or something!!! I mean, I would recognize your name, right? I'd KNOW who youwere, right? Or were you active on this site before my time? I mean, I KNOW you were active before me, but were you also on at the same time I was way back when? Tell me the name of a post that you'd written way back then or something! Give me SOMETHING!!! I REALLY thought I had it figured out! And now, I'm more curious than ever!!! Crave the Quit! Rainey, at this point in my smoke-free life, things are going pretty well. I'm experiencing a lot of gratitude and a great deal more 'reality' to my quit. I don't too often feel like I'm a smoker who's simply not smoking. I'm starting to feel like someone who doesn't smoke. My comfort with the whole thing is increasing considerably (most of the time). And Rainey... this IS your last one! I have faith in you, and I think you do too! :) Butterfly Swimmer... :) ... well, as you can see, I'm very much a guy, and as for who I was in another incarnation, well... maybe you'll figure that out on your own... or... I have considered changing my name back to what it was originally. And in time, I may! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/6/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 72 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,800 Amount Saved: $666.00 Life Gained: Days: 11 Hrs: 16 Mins: 23 Seconds: 34
