What do you feel like at the 100 day mark?

Be careful...... You are still vulnerable, even if you aren't having to don your armour every morning and wear it till bedtime.... Sometimes a curve ball comes at you with such force it'll knock your socks off! Be a good boyscout and be prepared for those times! But isn't it just grand that it DOES get easier as time goes on? That there isn't that CONSTANT and nagging thoughts of smoking??? It truly DOES get better and I am ever so grateful that I am here today and I AM QUIT! Hi Sweeteedon, I'm at 97 days and no longer feel that I'm fighting. Something happened today that helps me to feel I'm over the fighting stage. Outside of a restaurant I was about to enter a woman lit a cigarette and as she exhaled the smoke blew into my face. It would have smelled so very good to me just a few months ago, but not today. I couldn't stand the smell it and that's when I realized I'm really a non-smoker! Like you, I'm very pleased with myself, but I also know I need to pay attention at all times. Never, even for one second, can I afford to forget that I'm addicted to nicotine. I like where I am right now and I want to keep it that way--one day at a time. I think it's wonderful that you've made it past 100 days! Keep up the good work--you're worht it. sweeteedon - May I stop by to simply suggest - focus on your quit as each quit really is different. looking for this and that to happen may make it happen, if that makes sense. I had a tough time at that milestone BUT you may not! I pray to God each day that is is my FINAL QUIT. I never want to go back to that. Funny my saying that, a couple of months ago I would have said, I can't quit, I've been a smoker way too long for me to quit. Well its never too late. I feel 100% times better now then when I smoked. I feel better about myself, I smell better, no-one looks at me funny anymore for having a smoke in my mouth and my husband doesn't yell at me anymore that I am killing him. Never ever thought I would feel this way about quitting, but I am so glad I do. Good Luck to everyone who is trying to quit. IT CAN BE DONE :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 63 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,586 Amount Saved: $315 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 17 Mins: 19 Seconds: 54

Sweeteedon, Good question. Let's hear it from those shortly or recently arrived at the beach. How do you feel? Danielle _____________________ The SSC Support Team

Sweeteedon, Every person and every quit is different no matter how many times we have tried to quit this addiction. I am just short of 100 days but would like to reply early. In this my final quit, I have felt joyus freedom from the moment I put out my last cigarette. I have chosen not to fight because I am not giving anything up, I am gaining everything I lost by smoking. When I have a smoking thought (I think most people call these thoughts cravings), I just acknowledge the fact that I used to smoke but this is no longer an option for me because I am a non smoker. I feel free from my addiction, but I will never forget I am an addict. N.O.P.E. :) Pat My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/28/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 95 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,817 Amount Saved: $1330 Life Gained: Days: 11 Hrs: 3 Mins: 22 Seconds: 36

I don't think I'm fighting any more, I do think it would not take much to start again. I have to keep my toes just in case. Like your self I'm pleased with my quit at this point. I would have never thought I would be a non-smoker at this point in my life. I am wondering now what was the point for alot of years why I did smoke and what was its purpose? To be away from its grip sees alot of wonderful views from the other side. I am 100 days ( very pleased with myself ) still fighting Can I ask how other people feel at 100 Days?
