How far have you come ?

I just HAD to log in and post to this one! Great post! OK, well, I'm going with the total number of cigarettes I've not smoked since June 17, 2005 (I've smoked 7 cigarettes since that date, none since October 28, 2005). The total cigs I've not smoked is 15,773. Figuring that a cigarette is about 3 inches long, that's a total of 3943.25 feet. The Sears Tower, the Empire State Building and the Eiffel Tower all together total 3753 feet. So, if I lined up all of the cigarettes that I have NOT smoked since June 17, 2005 on top of each other, and then put the Sears Tower, the Eiffel Tower AND the Empire State Building all on top of each other, those three buildings would STILL not reach as high as the cigarettes that I have not smoked. :) Crave the Quit! Apparently (assuming the 4.5 inch long cig.) I have not smoked around 998 feet of smokes! That is the same as the length of the North pier Waukegan Harbor, located on the west shore of Lake Michigan in Waukegan, Illinois about 38 miles north of Chicago; which means nothing to me but sounds mighty impressive! Maybe some day I'll see that pier. We all have our quit meters to remind us just how far we have come on our new life as non smokers, and these are a huge motivation to keep on the straight and narrow. Bur how about we turn it around into something physical ? I have just passed 4000 cigarettes not smoked. just how far is that ? If I laid 4000 cigarettes end to end, they would measure about 400 metres. the length of 4 rugby fields !!! It puts a whole different perspective on my quit when I think of those cigarettes like that. So how far have you come ?? get imaginative and lets see what comparisons we can come up with.
