Congratulations KMarie... It gets easier as you go along, as I'm sure you know. Just hang in there and drink plenty of water and take life as it goes along ;o) Have you tried mediation, when you have stronger cravings? It worked wonders for me. I'd remind myself that the usual craving lasts less than 5 minutes, and I'd do a simple breathing meditation. It'd also work beautifully with the morning exercise! You've done a wonderful thing, in quitting... Give yourself a pat on the back :o) Peace, Jackey My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/22/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 422 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 8,452 Amount Saved: $1763.96 Life Gained: Days: 58 Hrs: 22 Mins: 58 Seconds: 42

congratulations kmarie! Welcome to the scc. Have you done the online program here? You have to get yourself mentally prepared for the weeks to come. Have your 'coping' toolchest...mints, hard candy, water, straws to chew on, literature to read to cement your resolve to stay clean from this poisonous substance. ANything that you can do to help yourself..even if you just need to sleep alot more, DO IT! Read here and let us know how you are doing.
